Every Journey Starts Somewhere
Before Asher, there was Teddy.
Teddy was a Belgian Tervuren mix who taught us what loyalty, joy, and unconditional love really looked like. He was observant, protective, and always happy to see us — no matter what kind of day we were having. Through every season of life, he stayed by our side with quiet strength, endless trust, and a joyful spirit that never faded, even when he was hurting.
There was something special about the kind of dog he was, too. Belgian Tervurens are known for their intelligence, loyalty, sensitivity, and strong bond with their families. They are naturally observant, driven, protective without being reckless, and always seem to want a purpose. They thrive on connection, adventure, learning, and being part of everyday life rather than simply watching from the sidelines.
That description fit Teddy perfectly.
Choosing a Belgian Tervuren again wasn’t about replacing him — it was about honoring the qualities that made him so unforgettable while welcoming a new dog with his own personality, story, and journey ahead.
Asher is not here to replace Teddy. Asher is here to carry forward the joy Teddy gave us — the companionship, the adventures, the loyalty, and the reminder that the dogs who walk beside us often teach us the most about love.
The name Asher means happy or blessed, and that meaning matters deeply to us. It represents the joy Teddy carried through every moment and the mission we want to continue moving forward: spreading joy, embracing challenges, building memories, and growing together through every adventure life gives us.
